CD Projekt Red and PUBG Corp Won't Attend PAX East 2020 Due to Coronavirus Risks
CD Projekt Red and PUBG Corp. are the next companies to announce that, due to fears of Coronavirus, they won't be attending PAX East this year.
CD Projekt Red's Stephanie Bayer (Head of North American Communications) made the announcement via Twitter, although she was confident that the studio's attendance of GDC would be unaffected. As for PUBG Corp. (formerly Bluehole Ginno Games), the company's withdrawal was originally reported by Gamespot.
The studios join the growing list of PAX East drop-outs along with Sony, Square Enix, Capcom and Facebook. Despite this unfortunate streak of news, PAX East will still be a show worth attending and its organisers have assured the public that they are keeping hygiene standards in line with the "EPA's Emerging Pathogen Policy".
PAX East will run from the 27th February - 1st March at the Boston Convention Centre.
