Claim a Free Horror Early Access Title on Steam for a Limited Time
Every once in a while, developers offer up their titles on Steam for everyone to claim. The free-to-keep promotions allow developers to get exposure, and for players to try out a new experience without having to spend money on it.
Aximus Games is the latest to join in, offering its debut title, Lost in Anomaly, for free for a limited time. The game is an anomaly title where players wake up on the ninth floor of an unknown building, with the single goal of spotting anomalies and reporting them.
As anomaly titles go, players will need to escape by finding the anomalies on each floor, slowly working their way to the ground floor and escaping. To do this, players will have to use their observational skills to overcome the puzzles on each floor and face jump scares and spooky environments on the way.
One thing worth noting is that Lost in Anomaly launched two years ago on the 13th of December 2024 on Steam Early Access. Since then, no public updates have been released on Steam, with the last update to the Early Access Game section on the store page being 14 months ago. This includes the fact that Lost in Anomaly missed its expected Early Access launch date of Q2 2025.
According to the post regarding the free-to-keep promotion, Aximus Games is looking to grow the player feedback to work towards the 1.0 release. The developer asks players to share information via Steam reviews and the Steam Discussions regarding the latest build.
