Damned 2's Early Access Launch Announced and a Free Final Playtest!

9Heads Studio and Nuntius Games have announced the Early Access release date for Damned 2, but before that, there's news of a free final playtest! 

For those who haven't played Damned, the 2014 title was the world's first asymmetric horror game. It paved the way for so many other games, notably titles such as Dead by Daylight and Friday the 13th: The Game. 

Despite it's pioneer status and having begun as an indie project, it was a huge success. Many players would watch streams of it from the likes of PewDiePie, Alanzoka, and Seananners, allowing an overwhelming and warm response from players and viewers from around the globe.

Since then, a decade has passed, with 9Heads Studio working to make a truly new experience in the form of Damned 2. 

Promising a new vision of multiplayer terror, Damned 2 will bring a fresh and immersive take to the genre it pioneered. If you want to take a look, you'll be glad to know that there's a free playtest open to the public from 3rd to 7th of July. All you need to do is Request Access on Damned 2's Steam page. Already, several streamers have already shared their plans to live play with their followers during this time.

Participants of the final playtest will receive an exclusive in-game banner as a thank you. But not only that, but there will be a new monster Blight, and two new survivor characters: Mother Lucy and Mac, along with a new map in the form of Ashen Mortuary. Players can also expect several other improvements and new features to look forward to.

All this will be just in time for players to get excited for Damned 2's Early Access launch on Steam on 7th August. It will also eventually launch on PlayStation 4 and 5, and Xbox One and Series X|S, with a release date for those consoles expected at a later date.
