DEATH STRANDING 2: ON THE BEACH Launches on PC via Steam

Last year, DEATH STRANDING 2: ON THE BEACH released on PlayStation 5 exclusively, following the story of Norman Reedus' Sam Porter Bridges. The highly divisive title had players tasked with connecting America while fighting all sorts of threats that stand in their way.

The sequel was received strongly by fans, who praised the gameplay remaining the same, all the while offering some new venues of self-expression in the form of skills. Whether you prefer stealth-based gameplay or fighting against the BTs, DEATH STRANDING 2: ON THE BEACH offered more customisability and options to the player as a whole.

Announced a little while back in a PlayStation State of Play in February 2026, we got a look at the upcoming PC port that players would get to engage with. This includes ever-essential features of the ecosystem, including improved graphics, performance, and customisation options to make the experience suitable for everyone's rig.

As part of PlayStation's move to port exclusives over to PC a while after their launch, this was the perfect opportunity for players to continue the story of connecting the world. Though Sony allegedly seems to be backing down from PC releases, it seems Kojima's experience, alongside a few other ones like the upcoming Kena: Bridge of Spirits sequel, will be exempt from this rumoured change.

DEATH STRANDING 2: ON THE BEACH is out now on PC via Steam for £69.99 as of the 19th of March 2026. You can check out the official launch trailer above, but do bear in mind that it includes some hefty spoilers of later content.
