DIRT 5 First Look, Featuring Wheel and Pedal Cam
I take a look at the upcoming racer from DIRT 5 in an early preview build graciously provided direct from Codemasters. Following from DIRT 4’s attempt to be an accessible version of the Rally series, this iteration takes a step back toward the vibrancy of DIRT 2 and 3. The video takes a peek at what it’s like to play with a wheel and pedals - even in this early build - and shows off some of the intense weather effects we’ll be seeing come the games launch in October.

I am trying to figure out how you can be using a wheel and pedals 4 months prior to release and my new full purchase price Dirt 5 does not support a wheel and pedals on my PC.
Videos like yours are the reason I purchased at launch. Never occurred to me that the game would not at the least conform to the same playability as Dirt 4.

Between that preview build and launch, Codemasters have been working on wheel support, just sadly they couldn't quite manage to get it in for release due to what sounds like just a sheer number of configurations available - and that they want to make sure it's a good experience for any combination of wheel hardware.
Codemasters posted on the Steam forums on Oct 29th with information about wheel support, and when we can expect it to arrive.
