Echoes of Aincrad Shows Off Opening Cinematic in Latest Trailer

Echoes of Aincrad is set to release this month, as Game Studio Inc. and Bandai Namco Entertainment Inc. start to pick up the marketing. This is a great opportunity to learn more about the game ahead of its launch, inviting players to learn about the world and the content that's awaiting them.

For the latest trailer launched on the official BANDAI NAMCO Europe YouTube channel, we got a look at the opening cinematic for the game. While it might be a bit weird in the traditional videogame sense, Echoes of Aincrad is set in the world of Sword Art Online, and the anime opening is a perfectly fitting introduction for the title.

The opening cinematic doesn't really show much of a cinematic, as it's more of an opening traditionally seen in anime. Accompanied by some music, players get a chance to look at some of the characters they'll be able to meet across the nearly two-minute-long trailer.

Still, it's an exciting opportunity to check out what's coming and get hyped for the upcoming launch. Echoes of Aincrad is set to launch on the 9th of July 2026, and the pre-orders are available now, priced at £54.99 for the Standard Edition, £74.99 for the Deluxe Edition, and £94.99 for the Ultimate Edition.
