Expeditions: Samurai Reveals Eight Allies in New Companions Trailer

Campfire Cabal and THQ Nordic have shown off the newest trailer for Expeditions: Samurai. Set to release on the 7th of August 2026 to Steam Early Access, the new entry into the famous turn-based strategy franchise will take players to Sengoku-era Japan.

The new trailer runs for two minutes, giving us the opportunity to learn more about the characters we'll get to meet. This shows us the eight new allies and companions that players will be able to meet and befriend, taking them into battle with them.

Another thing we get to learn more about is their different playstyles, which showcase some bits of gameplay that players will be able to engage with. Whether it's stealth-based missions or completing the quest going in guns blazing, there are several options players will have with their new allies.

It's a great way to learn more about the characters, including characters that come from different lands, beliefs, and more. From rivals to friends to lovers, there's plenty of allegiances to create, and the trailer gives us a great look at what we can expect.
