Fallen Tear: The Ascension Shares June 2026 Progress Update
Winter Crew Studios and CMD Studios released their successful Early Access launch for metroidvania Fallen Tear: The Ascension. This epic title has players taking on the role of Hira as they embark on a journey across the world of Raoah, invite friends to their party, and battle the very gods of the realm.
It's an epic adventure that's been going on for a while, beginning as a successful Kickstarter campaign. Its Early Access launch was a surprise, featuring a few zones and the first main god to battle against, which — at the time — was mistakenly balanced for the full-version release.
The Early Access released a second update, which would be the game's last until late on in the year. Fallen Tear: The Ascension is looking to share the full experience by the end of 2026, and this meant halting Early Access updates in favour of going full-steam ahead with development.

Still, we're receiving some information about the game's progress, and the June 2026 update shares some exciting new pieces of information. We get sneak peeks to learn more about how everything's going, and it's an informative update, all things considered!
For June, the team has mostly completed all of the areas that'll be available in the game: four new zones, and one partially completed one were accomplished. This concludes the world of Raoah, which means that the setting and bones are there for the future upcoming release.

The areas are:
- Lilac Mine
- Golem Ruins
- Korr-Hunters Association Town
- Bislow: Earth Kingdom
- Purist Isle (the partially completed one)
Of course, for each of the new areas comes new bosses to battle against. We learned about the five bosses that have been included, which are the following:
- Gatoroth the Giant Crocodile
- Golgard the Golem King
- Malzagar the Ground Demon
- Morvigos the Winged Demon

Though that's not all, as fire areas required five bosses, at least, and seeing as Bislow: Earth Kingdom was completed, it means only one thing. The final Elemental God was implemented as Haslan: The Earth God is now fully prepared for the release.
Finally, four Fated Bonds were added to the game; these are, essentially, the friends that Hira can make along the journey, recruit, and get skills with. These characters are:
- Enid the Puppeteer
- Sendrin the Catographer
- Magnus the Bounty Hunter
- Cadel the Cursed Hunter

This gets Fallen Tear: The Ascension close to its full conclusion, as the team is looking to have some exciting news come August. With the June 2026 update now concluded, it's looking more and more likely that we'll be hearing a release date sometime in the coming months, and a release window for the full version of the experience!
While these aren't added as part of the Early Access, Fallen Tear: The Ascension already has a lot of zones and gameplay content available for those looking forward to it. You can check it out on Steam for £12.56 thanks to its sale, running until the 9th of July. After this point, it'll go back to its base price of £16.75.
