FBC: Firebreak Offers Free-to-play Weekend
Remedy Entertainment has had a bit of a rough year, and their latest title, FBC: Firebreak, didn't quite resonate with audiences the way the team had been expecting it to. Launching to a mixed user reception on Steam, with 66% of the 1,832 reviews being positive, it's been a bit of a tough year since its 17th of June 2025 launch.
Now, it's 2026, and Remedy Entertainment is hoping to turn the luck around. To this end, the team is offering the title to play for free throughout this weekend, meaning that you can grab two other friends to join in on the campaign, without anyone needing to own the title on their end.
The free weekend also comes with a new roguelite game mode that fundamentally changes the entire game's progression, offering new weapon inspection animations, cosmetics, and bug fixes. And to top it all off, everyone is going to be receiving Double XP throughout the weekend, working towards Reputation and Kit Levels in their entirety.
