Fields of Mistria's Fourth Major Update is Available Now!
Fields of Mistria is an Overwhelmingly Positive Early Access title on Steam that has accrued a whopping 19,146 reviews at the time of writing. Developed and published by NPC Studio, this upcoming farming simulator with a touch of magic invites everyone to Mistria!
The fourth major update is available now, and the team released information about all the new features and improvements players can look forward to. The team often thanks the community for their feedback, so they've made sure to highlight which changes have been spearheaded by it. To honour that, we'll be adding an asterisk to them, too!
Here are the highlights from the additions and improvements added in Fields of Mistria's fourth major update:
- The "Breaking the Ruins Seal" quest can be finished to unlock the Ruins Biome of the Mines.
- The Mines Questline can now be completed.
- The new Secret Bachelorette is available now and unlocks after the Mines Questline.
- Eight Heart Event, Shooting Star cutscene, and additional dialogue are available for the Secret Bachelorette.
- New dialogue has been added.
- There's a Lost & Found Box now, and it will collect floating items around the world (except in the Mines) once per week.
- New player cosmetics have been added.
- More furniture has been added.
- 10 new Museum Sets and rewards have been added.
- Bug Pheromones have been added, which can be used to summon rarer bugs.
- Fish Bait is also available, and it will bring fish to open water.
- There's a Fish Trap at the far west side of the Beach now; by adding bait, players can get rewards (including furniture).
- Apiaries have been added to the game, which produce Honey, depending on a few factors.*
- Terrariums have also been added and work similarly: complete a request to gain Fish Bait or bug Pheromone.*
- Mistril Armor and Tools are available, and they are the highest tier.
- Upgraded Bug Nets will charge up, similar to the other Tools.
- 10 new perks have been added across crafting, combat, blacksmithing, and mining.
- There's a new Mines Floor type in the Ruins Biome: the Arena Floors (must defeat all enemies to continue).
- Five new monsters have been added to the Mines.
- Monsters drop Pet Skins via the Combat Perk "Friend-Shaped".
- Void Material has a chance to spawn at the beginning of the "Breaking the Ruins Seal" Questline.
- A new Spell, named Sacred Light, can be used in the Ruins Biome in the Mines (unlocked after the questline).
- Additional Requests have been added to the Request Board.
In addition to all of that, there are also seven new functional furniture items that havebeen added:
- A Placeable Forge, which will be available at the Carpenter's Shop since the beginning of the game.*
- Mini-Mill, which becomes available after upgrading the Carpenter's Shop (can be used to craft animal products and feed).*
- Seed Maker, which is available after upgrading the General Store.*
- Artifact Replicator, which can be found after the Archaeology Set is completed, turns artefacts into furniture.
- Auto-feeder, which can be purchased from Hayden after Ranching Level 45.*
- Perpetual Soup Pot, which can be purchased after upgrading the Inn, will create soup that restores Stamina and Health.
- Tesserae Tree, which is a Museum Reward, can be harvested for Tesserae every three days.
There is a myriad of quality-of-life changes that arrived in this latest update, but here are some highlights:
- Players can now split stacks using Ctrl + Right-mouse button on keyboard and mouse.*
- The Renown obtained from Town Repair quests has been increased.*
- Treasure Rooms and Ritual Chamber rooms are now considered side rooms in the Mines.
- The Inn Kitchen upgrades to Level 3 upon upgrading the Inn.*
- The Woodcrafting menu is now available on the Functional Tab.
- The Pink Spring Sofa uses Tulips instead of Lilac in its recipe.*
- Golden Eggs are edible.*
- Golden Butter will no longer appear if the player doesn't have a barn.*
- Birthday dialogue for NPCs who aren't available in Mistria no longer activates.*
- The bug that would crash the game when right-clicking a single item in an inventory menu slot no longer happens.*
