For the King II Launches Free to Play Campaign with Release of Latest Major Content Update and DLC
IronOak Games and Curve Games' For The King II is the sequel to their highly successful franchise-starter, and though it released two years ago (on the 2nd of November 2023), it's struggling to find the same fanbase and love. Still, the growth from the original is unquestionable, and the team hasn't given up on adding new content — both free and paid — to the title even a couple of years after its launch.
As part of a new-player acquisition strategy to show off its free update, character pack DLC, and a more in-depth look at the title, For The King II is free to try out on Steam for the week. It's worth noting that this isn't a free-to-keep promotion where you get the title and can play it forever — think of it more like a free weekend, though it's far longer than that.
ThisFor The King II's free-to-play period starts on the 17th of November and ends on the 24th of November, giving you ample time to see if you like the title. It's also not limited access, so you can try the five base game chapters, the two free additional DLC chapters, and the endless dungeon mode Dark Carnival, all either alone or with a group of friends.
If you like what you see and you want to keep playing, the title is at its usual 60% discount for £7.99, the same price it's been receiving since the Steam Summer Sale 2025. Don't miss out on your opportunity to give it a shot!
