For The King II Releases New Free Major Content Update
IronOak Games and Curve Games released the sequel to the highly successful For The King several years ago, on the 2nd of November 2023. The title followed the massive success of the previous, as For The King II sought to recapture the magic five years after the franchise starter launched.
Since then, the sequel has received three Character Pack DLC to keep the gameplay interesting and veterans coming back, alongside various major content updates. The latest of these, Dungeon Crawl, was released just a few days ago, bringing a massive amount of content for players to enjoy.
The major content update is the third of its kind, bringing players back to Fahrul once more to battle against enemies. A new character, named the Treasure Hunter, joins the fray, but perhaps most interestingly is the Dungeon Crawl Mode released.

For those looking for a reason to come back to For The King II (or those looking for an excuse to purchase the experience), you've found it. Dungeon Crawl brings the titular game mode, which features roguelite progression as players advance through randomly generated maps, bosses, and leaderboards.
This is a returning mode to For The King, as players and their party will jump into the dungeons and shut down the Chaos devices, bringing peace to the realm once and for all. It is a different experience altogether from the seven chapters that exist in the main campaign, as this instead focuses on a new overworld with full randomisation each run.
Once players have mastered the Dungeon Crawl Mode, they'll be able to jump into the Dungeon Crawl Gauntlet, which will be a monthly seed for players to compete for spots in the leaderboards. It'll be a static dungeon, where players need to master the gameplay and become one of the three victors — the top of the leaderboard will receive Bronze, Silver, and Gold statues that appear in others' games. These will be refreshed on the first Tuesday of every month.

The power fantasy will scale beyond what's possible in For The King II's base experience. Instead of being capped at level 9, adventurers can increase to level 12, which will allow for a bigger array of builds that'll lead to stronger power scaling than is possible in the campaign.
Finally, for those who want to enjoy the roguelite Dungeon Crawl Mode but don't want to battle against impossible odds, all of the difficulty options and modifiers from the base game are available as well. This means that players can enjoy a fully customisable roguelite experience that'll fit the challenge they're willing to face.
For The King II The Dungeon Crawl Update is available now! You can enjoy it on PC via Steam, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
