Fortnite Coming to a Mobile Device Near You

Yes, that's right, the game that everyone and their two week old puppy is playing is now coming to mobile. It's the future!

In a blog post this week, Epic Games confirmed that the new mobile version will be pretty much identical - touting "same gameplay, same map, same content, same weekly updates". They're partnering up with Sony, too, so there will be cross-play between PlayStation 4, PC, Mac, iOS and Android, although the latter will be available at a later time.  No word on Xbox compatibility, although that shouldn't be too surprising...

You can sign up to the Invite Event from Monday at Fortnite's website. They'll send you an email if you get invited, and you'll be able to invite your mates over too so you can all get in on the action. You'll just need an iPhone 6S/SE, iPad Mini 4, iPad Pro, iPad Air 2 or iPad 2017 device with iOS 11.

Fortnite Battle Royale is available now on pretty much all recent platforms - bar Nintendo Switch.
