Future Games Show GC 2025: BPM Bitcrushed
There’s something about the combination of gun-based combat and fighting to the rhythm of music that goes together so perfectly, as seen in a few games now. Maybe it’s the satisfaction of a perfectly timed shot or dodge that coincides with a killer note, or maybe we just like when things follow the beat. In any case, the developers behind one exemplar of the genre, BPM: Bullets Per Minute, are back with their upcoming pixel art roguelike, BPM Bitcrushed!
In the game, you pick your favourite warrior and venture forth to battle hordes of enemies with the ultimate goal of ending Ragnarock and silencing the eponymous Final Chord. Slice, thwack, reload, and shoot all to the beat of the game’s killer soundtrack as you find amazing loot and take on challenging bosses. If you’re playing on the PC, you can even import your own music to bop along to as you punch a skeleton or duel a demon.
BPM Bitcrushed is coming to PC and consoles in 2026.
