The preshow for Opening Night Live 2025 gave us a look at Valor Mortis, an upcoming soulslike adventure by the creators of Ghostrunner. Developer One More Level teams up with Lyrical Games to bring us the soulslike adventure, featuring supernatural powers and hideous monsters.

The team’s signature development style is back with first-person gameplay, with blocking, dodging, and even some magical abilities you’ll take control of. Take control of a follower of Napoleon Bonaparte in the 19th century, as a resurrected soldier who will have to fight for his will.

Use your sword to fight and battle with your pistol in the soulslike gameplay of Valor Mortis. The has a playtest available over on Steam for players to request access to, and you’ll be able to pick it up for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows PC via Steam.
