Godus Developer 22cans Admit Mistakes.

(In)famous developer Peter Molnyeux and his studio 22cans have gave a community update to the dissatisfied fans of their latest game Godus. In the video Peter Molyneux explains how key figures have left the studio and that some have moved onto Molyneux's newer project titled The Trail.

It's worrying to hear this news as fans of Godus have been left with an under developed game that has failed to meet the expectations it set to deliver on Kickstarter. PC players have been let down by the fact that the focus has mainly been on the mobile version of the game and the Kickstarter has failed to meet original pledges. Molyneux states:

“I take the point that some of the pledges should have been met, and that we should have taken the time to work on them.”

To highlight the unruliness that the studio seems to be in, Curiosity Cube winner Scot Bryan Henderson has been left out of the loop since winning the prize of Molyneux's app. He was promised a life-changing experience and to be God of Gods; a feature that hasn't been developed yet. He was also promised a 1% cut of the revenue but since the feature hasn't been developed, has yet to see any of it.

Peter Molyneux has since apologised:

"I totally and absolutely and categorically apologise. That isn't good enough and I'll take it on my own shoulders that I should have made sure he was communicated with. We will from today onwards do that."

The next stage for Godus is the combat system but there has been no word of the addition of multiplayer or a hub world. It's unlikely Godus will ever live up to it's original expectations but hopefully more additions will be made to satisfy the fans who have been disappointed.
