Ground Zeroes 1080p on PS4 and 720p on Xbox One

An article published by Konami has confirmed that the upcoming Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes will run at a native 1080p on PlayStation 4 and only 720p on Xbox One.

Konami compared the four versions of the game across the consoles and revealed that Ground Zeroes will run at 30fps and 720p on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, 60fps and 720p on Xbox One and 60fps and 1080p on PlayStation 4.

Series creator Hideo Kojima praised the PlayStation 4's technical ability in an interview last week:

I think, between the home consoles available in the domestic market, the PS4 is the best. It's also excellent for graphics, being able to render 1080p at 60fps with room to spare.

 

Since it does it a little better than other hardware, the image quality of the PS4 is the most beautiful. It's the closest to the photorealistic quality we are aiming at.

Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes hits North America on 18th March and Europe on 20th March.
