GTA Online Update - Deathmatch & Race Creator Tools and More!

GTA Online Update - Deathmatch & Race Creator Tools and More!

Since the rocky launch of Grand Theft Auto Online, Rockstar have been pretty good at keeping their update content regular. Today is no different with new creator tools being released, along with capture mode and some announcements of what's to come.

If you were starting to get a bit bored of the online content available in the form of shooting friends in the face and shooting friends in the face whilst driving, then you're in luck! Rockstar have announced the Deathmatch & Race creators beta which will give players access to the same tools as the game's design and development team use. You can now create your own levels to shoot your friends in the face on!

You can create maps for the game types: Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Race, GTA Race and Rally Race. Once created, you can then publish your creation on the Rockstar Games Social Club to let other users download and shoot their friends in the face on your maps!

[Rockstar are] planning on regularly reviewing some of the best community-created content to recognize and distinguish them as Rockstar Verified Jobs, shared out to the entire GTA Online community.

These tools will be opened up to you via a free update but be aware, you will require a Social Club account that is linked to either your Xbox Live gamertag or your PlayStation Network ID to be able to use them.

Along with these tools, a new competitive team mode will be opening up later in December, Capture Mode. This mode brings territory infiltration and a new form of team face shooting to GTA Online. Up to four squads battle to steal contraband, trucks, buses or whatever from opponents' bases using high-speed vehicles, explosive weaponry and cunning teamwork. Craft, cooperation and team tactics are key. Capture is broken down into four variations: Raid, Contend, Hold and GTA. Full details on each will be announced next week.

The free Capture update will bring a host of new jobs to GTA Online.

And last, but by no means least, Rockstar Games have announced a few things that players can expect in the New Year.

First off is GTA Online Heists. These will be co-op Heists that allow you to take a short break from shooting friends in the face and instead, shoot other people in the face with friends. Whilst Heists are currently still in development, more details will be released in 2014.

Secondly is GTA V story mode updates. Not much has been announced on this front but what we do know is that if you're about ready to stop shooting your friends in the face and would like to pretend to be somebody else whilst shooting enemy AI in the face, you will totally be able to do that again.
