Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number Banned in Australia

Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number Banned in Australia

Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number has been refused classification in Australia because of the game's excessive violence, notions of sex, drug use and cruelty. The official reason states all of these depictions and that:

they offend against the standards of morality, decency and propriety generally accepted by reasonable adults to the extent that they should not be classified.

The game will  be releasing in other regions in the first quarter of 2015 but is now banned in Australia.

Lead designer Jonatan Söderström has told fans to pirate the game if it does not get released in Australia.

If it ends up not being released in Australia, just pirate it after release. No need to send us any money, just enjoy the game!

Whilst it's unfortunate that Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number is unlikely to see a release in Australia at least players won't have to feel bad about pirating the game.
