House Flipper Remastered Collection — Everything You Need to Know About the Remake

House Flipper Remastered Collection was announced a while back, bringing the classic experience to life. This upgraded edition will feature improved graphics, voice acting, all the expansions, and much more, but not everything is entirely clear at a glance about why there's a remake for the original being made just six years in.

To answer all of the questions, we decided to tackle everything you need to know about House Flipper Remastered Collection, including content, release windows, platforms, and more. Here's everything we know!

Will House Flipper 2 Be Replaced?

Developer Frozen Way has taken the lead in developing a sequel to House Flipper, which invites players to experience the original in a brand-new way. With House Flipper 2 launching on the 14th of December 2023, it feels like the team is moving on rather quickly from the sequel, which has turned its favour around following a struggling launch.

However, one thing to note is that House Flipper Remastered Collection and House Flipper 2 are being developed by two different teams. While Frozen District continues to work on the sequel to the franchise starter, the remake is being made by a new team, named Frozen Way, while Frozen District is helping publish the remaster.

This should mean that resources are not being pulled from the sequel, while the remake can still receive full support from a dedicated development team.

Will There Be New Content in House Flipper Remastered Collection?

It's already been confirmed by Frozen Way that House Flipper Remastered Collection will feature additional content from the original. This includes the previous DLC, all packaged in (for those who didn't play it), but there's also new content to be enjoyed.

As it stands, we know that there are going to be new houses (no confirmation on how many), eight new jobs that have been announced, and over 800 new items. This means that even veterans will find reasons to return to the House Flipper Remastered Collection, as it'll offer more than before.

What's New in House Flipper Remastered Collection?

New content isn't all that players can expect, however, as House Flipper Remastered Collection offers more than just a few jobs, houses, and decoration items. From a slew of quality-of-life features to improvements in lighting and performance, there's a lot that's being changed.

Essentially, this remake looks to create a new experience that feels fresh and exciting, not just in the content aspect. Here are some of the changes that we're aware of:

  • Improved visuals and UI, including graphics like lighting, a dedicated nighttime sky box, improved shadows, and bug fixes with emissive materials.
  • More intuitive gameplay design, such as a better interface, lawn mower adjustments, and interior decoration changes.
  • Improvements to optimisation for memory, FPS, and upscaling support through DLSS, FSR, and TAAU.
  • Quality-of-life improvements for autosave system, the removal of Chromatic Aberration and Lens Distortion, tweaking Motion Blur, and better garden detection.
  • Gameplay adjustments for a better experience, including jobs starting earlier and a slightly taller player for a superior perspective.
  • Better features, such as the option to export houses, name houses, list favourite items on the tablet, improved photo mode, tablet dark mode, and much more.

It's a lot, and we don't even know all of the features and changes that are coming, with more things being announced, the more development time House Flipper Remastered Collection gets, but that's the gist of the content we know about so far!

Will My Original House Flipper Savefile Carry Over?

For those who have spent hundreds (or thousands — we see you) hours on the experience, we do have some bad news: House Flipper save files will not be transferable. The way House Flipper Remastered Collection was built does not allow for save files to be compatible, mainly due to the reworked code and content that's behind the scenes.

However, a new game mode will allow players to skip a big chunk of the gameplay and arrive at the endgame much faster. While we don't have a lot of details on this change, it should save players who have finished the storyline once (or several times) from having to do it again.

How Much Will House Flipper Remastered Collection Cost?

The topic of cost is a bit bespoke on a person-by-person basis. Since House Flipper Remastered Collection is not out yet, it's not exactly public information at the time exactly how everything will be affected, but we do know that dynamic pricing will be part of the equation.

The pricing has been confirmed to be $49.99, which should range from £33.75 to £44.99 depending on the pricing conversion used as per Steam's latest update to the Regional Pricing. But, it's not a hard and fast rule, as Frozen District didn't want players who bought all of the DLC to be punished for their loyalty, so those who own content will be getting special discounts.

As it currently stands, it seems like those who own House Flipper and all of the 10 DLC will be able to get the collection for about $20 (ranging from £13.49 to £17.75). More purchasing options have been revealed, however, such as for those who own both House Flipper and House Flipper 2, or for those who own all of the DLC except the Furniture Packs.

We'll likely only know specifics once House Flipper Remastered Collection releases. However, knowing the way Steam's platform works, it's likely that it'll be a classic Complete Your Collection bundle, meaning the more content from House Flipper you own, the less expensive the remaster will be.

Ironically, House Flipper and all of the DLC are at huge discounts, ranging from 75% to 35%, depending on the items you want to get, thanks to the Steam House & Home Fest. So, if you're looking to try them out and experience the title, then later nab a discount for House Flipper Remastered Collection, now might be a good chance.

What Platforms Will House Flipper Remastered Collection Launch On?

House Flipper Remastered Collection will launch on PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, with details about the timing itself not being set yet. That said, the Steam store page indicates a Q2 2026 release window at the time of writing.

I know this is an old article, but I appreciate this write-up. It addressed exactly all that I was looking for. So many other "professional" websites (IGN) can't even do their jobs properly; their articles read more like advertising - SHEESH!

Shame that House-Flipper did not give customers a $10 upgrade option to previous owners of the digital version of the game (regardless of storefront).
