House Party Custom Story Creator Receives Major Rehaul
Eek! Games may be done with House Party and moved on from the experience to focus on the upcoming sequel, Office Party, but in reality, that's not quite the case, as time and again, the newest "last update" arrived with improvements, changes, and more. As part of the final hurrah for one of the biggest 18+ experiences in the market (rivalled only by Outlast), the developer released a custom story editor to allow the community to create their own experiences, telling their own shenanigans throughout and keeping the game alive.
At the time, it was a great addition to House Party and for those who were already done with the wacky experience. However, those partaking in the Custom Story editor needed to install Unity and handle some complex, difficult processes to get everything working.

The process has since been expedited, as the creator enters a new Beta phase that brings improvements to performance, usability, story fixes, and even major additions. Essentially, the custom story creator was moved from Unity into the web, meaning that it can be done entirely through the new website with the Eek account credentials.
The change means that for players looking to create Custom Story Content, it should be far easier to do so without having to handle the difficult Unity elements, such as keeping it updated. Coming with the new editor is cloud draft saving, cross-device support, accessibility to make it future proof, and perhaps more excitingly, the promise that it'll work even better with Office Party.
If you're interested in creating Custom Story Content for House Party, you can do so already through the editor!
