Hungry Horrors Releases on Steam With New Launch Trailer

Deckbuilders have for too long been a stale genre, offering the same elements of gameplay, trying to get a sprinkle of the Slay the Spire success. While most of these titles have stuck to fighting against foes, it’s not very often that a new innovation to this combat comes into play.

Hungry Horrors is an Early Access title by Clumsy Bear Studio, where instead of fighting against enemies, you play as a princess who must save her kingdom… by cooking. Feed hungry monsters from British and Irish folklore, as you prepare dishes and ensure that, with each run, you’re trying to satiate the monstrous appetite.

This roguelite title has humour at its core, as shown off by its one-minute-long trailer showing the princess feeding the various mythos. If you’re interested in nabbing the title, it launched on Steam Early Access on the 19th of January 2026 and has yet to receive a negative review at the time of writing.
