Hyper Universe Patch 3.4 Brings Free Weekend and Gets Spooky For Halloween

Hyper Universe takes the mechanics of the MOBA genre and merges them with the style of a side-scrolling action game. Players take on the role of Hypers, powerful beings that have been pulled from across the universe to save it.

Patch 3.4 adds festive emblems, skins, balance changes and introduces a new Hyper to the line up. Shasha is a cute witch that rides an enchanted broom, she is a fast and curses enemies with powerful magic. Her ultimate ability, Sentinel Crystal punishes enemies that use their own skills while under its protective area.

Starting now and ending on 23rd October, players can access the Hyper Universe free weekend on the Nexon Launcher (check out the news page for more information). Additionally players that reach account level 7 during this time will retain permanent access to the game and players that reach account level 15 will unlock a free Founder’s Pack.

For two weeks players can unlock Halloween emblems by playing matches and Nexon America is introducing two exclusive Halloween skins for Cain and Green Pit Bull. Whether the player wins or loses everyone will still have a chance to collect samples to create the newest skins. Logging in daily will grant enough materials to craft these skins.

Players who created accounts prior to the free weekend event can complete 20 Delta Station AI or Regular matches by the end of the free weekend to earn 20 skin cubes, complete 10 Dragon Refuse matches to earn 20 skin samples which will guarantee Valter’s Shield of Aquinas Skin.

Notable balance changes have reduced the amount of gold and experience gain by Veteran and Elite AI modes to decrease difficulty. Damage for projectiles has been increased for the third target and beyond and opening cubes has been improved, players can now open up to 20 cubes at once.
