Jotunnslayer: Hordes of Hel Releases First Crossover DLC — Conan

Developers Games Farm and ARTillery, and publisher Grindstone, released Jotunnslayer: Hordes of Hel last year, on the 3rd of September 2025. This bullet heaven title, inspired by Vampire Survivors, invited players to fight in the realms of Norse Mythology, battling waves of foes while getting blessings from their ancient deities.

The mixture of Hades-like mythological approach to roguelike progression and Vampire Survivors gameplay elements saw it reach a favourable score among audiences. On Steam, Jotunnslayer: Hordes of Hel has a Very Positive rating, with 82% of the reviews being recommended.

Now, the team has announced that a brand-new character will be joining the ranks, as players can take on the role of a new character in the recently announced DLC. Conan the Barbarian from Conan Exiles and Age of Conan: Unchained is making a cross-over appearance, as the paid DLC will come with the new hero, a new realm, and a brand-new deity.

The reveal trailer launched on the official Grindstone YouTube channel shows off some of the gameplay that players can expect with the new Conan DLC. This shows the new realm, Stygia, the new hero, Conan (alongside some of his perks and attacks), and the new deity that players will be fighting: Fate.

Conan comes with three subclases to pick from, letting players choose how he plays throughout the battlefield. This includes the King of Alquiloniua, wielding a two-handed sword; the Stygian Gladiator, wielding a sword and shield; and the Zamorian Rogue, wielding dual daggers.

Each of the subclasses fundamentally changes Conan's gameplay, offering him more power, tankier builds, or fast-paced combat. These perks and traits will let players customise their overall gameplay approach, allowing Conan to be versatile enough to fit whichever playstyle players favour.
