Know by Heart - A Tale of Friendship and Loss in Post-Soviet Russia

Ice-Pick Lodge, developer of the Pathologic series, has just announced its upcoming release Know by heart, a focused title which aims to bring plot, emotion and sentimentality by the bucketful. Check out the game's world, art style and atmosphere in the trailer above.

Set in post-Soviet Russia around the turn of the century, the game focuses on protagonist Misha, now stuck in a dead-end job, returning to her childhood town and reuniting with her old friends, now gone down wildly different paths. Told through a variety of mini-games which reflect Misha's thoughts and feelings, the game's story has non-linear components, and players can achieve a number of different endings based on how they play through it.

It's a different game to what most Ice-Pick Lodge fans will be used to: smaller-scale, more grounded and intimate, but it looks to be one worth keeping an eye on,

Know by heart will release on PC in Q2 2021.
