The summer is approaching us fast and as always, the gaming industry is starting to heat up with plenty of activity. We're getting trailers and new screenshots zooming in at a hundred miles an hour right now, not to mention our many editorial pieces and reviews and previews. It's a veritable cornucopia of gaming goodness. But there's so much of it, how can you avoid missing anything? Your answer to that comes in our weekly roundup as always, so sit back and relax as we catch you up on some of the highlights that you might have missed in the week gone by.

Apothecary took an early look at Starship Corporation, a space building simulator.
Simon reviewed Dovetail game's first release since buying the MS Flight Simulator rights, the training simulator Dovetail Games Flight School.

InSomnia's second funded Kickstarter finished, with the game in its final development cycle now.
Space Run Galaxy got a gameplay trailer.
The DOOM soundtrack turned out to have hidden messages contained in it.
GOG Connect was announced, meaning that you can have your virtual games in multiple services now.

EA announced that The Sims 4 will be getting an update removing visual restrictions of sims based on their gender, in an attempt to the game much more trans-friendly.
There was an announcement of a new Skylanders game, this time with totally customisable, transportable characters.
There were details shown about the Legendary Pokémon in Sun and Moon.
Free to Play runner game, Sonic Runners ran out of time and got canned by Sega.
