League of Legends Shares First Motion Comic for Pandemonium Season

League of Legends' new Season began on the 29th of April 2026, as players were invited to check out the new Pandemonium-themed gameplay elements added to the MOBA. As it's the second Season of the year, Riot Games tries to make minor changes in response to the major first-Season gameplay mechanics made to keep the game fresh year-on-year.

Two years ago, League of Legends Seasons lasted a year, with a negligible number of major updates throughout to keep the game fresh the entire time. With the shift to three Seasons per year, split across two Acts each, this was changed to keep something new in players' hands at all points, keeping the game as engaging as possible.

Part of this change was the incorporation of in-universe lore updates throughout each new Season and Act, with main characters and stories being advanced throughout the time period. With the world of Runeterra spanning so much, and lore so deep, it spawned the hit Netflix show Arcane. It made sense for Riot Games to keep a focus on this to ensure the narratives continue growing alongside its players.

Most of the story updates come from comics released throughout the Seasons and Acts, each with animations and voice acting for the narrative to unfold. The first one of the 2026 Season 2 Act 1: Pandemonium launched, showing off Vayne as the protagonist (as seen in the gameplay trailer), unravelling over six minutes.

If you're not interested in checking it out through the League of Legends client, the new one uploaded to the official YouTube channel should give you the same experience. You can check out the full comic embedded above.
