Focus Entertainment is going full throttle with teasers and trailers for their upcoming title, Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden, the upcoming third-person narrative adventure developed by DON'T NOD. As you take control of Red mac Raith and head to New Eden, you'll find a terrible curse has plagued not just a small town but the entire land.

In the game's latest trailer published on the official Focus Entertainment YouTube channel, you can take an extended peak at the gameplay elements (alongside some narrative ones, too) of Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden. This nearly five-minute-long trailer covers a lot of basics for the game, touching on five major points that you can use to familiarise yourself with 1695's New Eden.

Learn about the New Eden curse and what has brought Banisher Antea Duarte and her boyfriend, Red mac Raith, as they venture into lands that are cursed — too cursed — and find a foe they might not be able to take down. Scattered throughout the New Eden map, you'll find settlements, colonies, and even abandoned areas, all filled with spirits and otherwordly creatures that you, as a Banisher, must deal with.

The trailer shows off the gameplay, switching between protagonists Red mac Raith and Antea Duarte as you venture into both the land of the living and the land of the dead, and you find secrets and interconnected intricacies that'll help you solve these cases. As an experienced ghost hunter, you'll need to find clues of the hauntings across mountains, swamps, forests, and rivers that make up the entire New Eden map.

Yet, the second point touched on in the trailer is equally as important: with the curse that has befallen New Eden, the two protagonists face a foe that they cannot defeat. After Antea's tragic death, it'll be your responsibility as the final Banisher to deal with the monster that has taken her... and perhaps even resurrect her, if you so wish. You'll be faced with the terrible burden of being a Banisher whose ghost of his loved one follows him everywhere, and you'll need to make a decision: save the inhabitants of New Eden or take their souls to feed to Antea and bring her back.
