Locke, the Ashen Exorcist, Receives Official Champion Theme Video

The new League of Legends champion finally launched, as players are able to take on the role of Locke in the midlane (or jungle, knowing that Riot Games is trying to push more assassins into the wild). With fans prepared to take on the role of the speedy AP melee assassin, it was an exciting launch, after his cinematic garnered a lot of love for his character.

His official release date was on the 24th of June 2026, and it was only a matter of time before Riot Games showed off its true colours as a closeted music label and inevitably launched his champion theme. It's become a tradition for each new champion to get a trailer featuring their primary music theme.

Of course, perhaps one of the most exciting parts of the launch is getting to see the character art concepts. This shows the slow development of Locke as a character, including the numerous designs that were considered (which often means we get to see a few weapon ideas that Riot Games toyed around with).
