Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes First PC Screens and Requirements

Early this year Konami and Kojima Productions announced Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes and The Phantom Pain will be coming to PC. Now, in conjunction with Nvidia they've brought us some new details about the PC version as well as the first screenshots.

The good news is that PC gamers will be pleased to know that it isn't any simple port. The PC edition will support: additional lighting (ambient occlusion), additional shadowing, higher resolution textures and shadows, as well as increased draw distance and 4k (3840x2160) support.

That and more all nicely packaged and available on Steam on December 18th.

If you want to know whether your PC is up to scratch, you can as the PC requirements have also been released.

Minimum Specifications

OS: Windows Vista 64-Bit or later
Processor: Core i5 Sandy Bridge 4 Core (4 Thread) 2.7GHz or above
Memory: 4GB RAM or above
Graphics: GeForce GTX 650 or above
DirectX: Version 11 or above


Recommended Specifications

Processor: Core i5 Sandy Bridge 4 Core (4 Thread) 2.7GHz or above
Memory: 8GB RAM or above
Graphics: GeForce GTX 760 or above

Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes is certainly shaping up to be a visual treat for PC gamers and shows the confidence that Konami and Kojima Productions have in their Fox Engine. Still doesn't change how short the game is, but certainly can be a benchmark for the epic that will be Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.

Well, those "minimum" specs are a bit OTT for the CPU, I bet it runs just fine on an i3 with a decent GFX card.

I'm sure it will. Also the requirements come from Nvidia so an equivalent AMD CPU or GPU will be fine as well.
