More Details Revealed by ATLUS Regarding RAIDOU Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army
ATLUS have revealed new details about RAIDOU Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army's characters, demons, and progression systems. So let's dive in to the info that they've provided.
First up, let's talk about the characters. So far, they've given us information on five different characters: Kenzo Satake, Sadakichi, Kiyoshi Daidouji, Hell's Pawns, and Red Cape.
Kenzo Satake is otherwise known as "The Face of Senju-ku", a young captain within the yakuza group: the Kanto Haguro Family. Working alongside Raidou, he's popular amongst both his men and citizens of the Capital, allowing him to build a network of contacts allowing him to know all that's going on. Fond of Raidou's nature, he collaborates with him well, becoming a useful informant when Raidou is investigating.
Sadakichi is a carefree and laid back army private who is accused of deserting. The reason for this? He's uncertain about the secret Super Soldier Project that the army is doing under the orders of Munakata, and because of this, he tries to expose the project with the help of a newspaper reporter, Tae. However, there's something strange about him that Raidou can't quite place his finger on.
Kiyoshi Daidouji is Kaya's uncle, and the younger brother of the head of the Daidouji family. While he is concerned for his niece, he has other concerns. Daidouji Textiles, his business, is on the verge of becoming bankrupt, and because of that, he needs money. With this in mind, there's something suspicious about him.
The concern for Kaya is due to the Hell's Pawns, a mysterious group with inhuman powers who kidnapped Kaya. Their powers may be linked to Munakata's Super Soldier Project, and they're in Raidou's way.
Finally, there's Red Cape. Not much is known about this enigmatic creature, except that it's seen as an urban legend that the Capital citizens live in fear of. Uncertain of if it will abduct or attack people, it has appeared in several different parts of the Capital, and the people are wary.
While you consider the appearances of Red Cape and Hell's Pawns, you'll also have to contend with over 50 new demons being added to RAIDOU Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army. In total, there are over 120 demons available for you to fight, with many whom you'll recognise from Devil Summoner 2: Raidou Kuzunoha vs. King Abaddon and Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance.
Finally, let's discuss how character progression will work. For one, Raidou has new Summoner Skills that he can learn from weapons. These include Combat Skills and Sword Skills. Combat Skills increase your combat ability in battle, and Sword Skills take effect the moment they're equipped. These will provide you with a host of abilities, that will provide you with an advantage in battle depending on the opponents you face. You can gain more Summoner Skills based on the weapons you create via Sword Alchemy, so you should remember to keep these in mind.
You'll also be able to change the Special Skills of your allied demons. These include Combat Skills and Passive Skills. Like above, these have the same criteria as Raidou's Combat and Sword Skills, and can be activated in the same way. Just remember, allied demons can get more skills through grinding their levels higher, and by utilising demon fusions. You can also use skill books to teach specific ones to your demons, which they can also inherit in demon fusions.
Remember that your allied demons can increase their Loyalty as they accompany Raidou into the field. Upon the Loyalty reaching maximum, your demon will learn a Passive Skill and you'll gain materials that you can use to make items and conduct Sword Alchemy. But don't forget, Loyalty earned across all your demons will determine what rank Raidou is as a Devil Summoner. Upon reaching different thresholds, you can get new titles and have access to more demons to use. Remember that your title can be changed as you progress, so don't be afraid to change it up a bit.
RAIDOU Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army is due to be released on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, the Nintendo Switch 2, Steam, and Xbox Series X|S on 19th June 2025. If you pre-order before then, you can get Raidou Glasses, which Raidou can use to disguise himself, and were once popular in the Taisho era, that will adjust Raidou's appearance.
