Myrkur Games Shares Video Talking Echoes of the End: Enhanced Edition with Overview Trailer

Myrkur Games and Deep Silver worked together to release Echoes of the End, the developer's ambitious debut title. Launched this summer, on the 12th of August 2025, the title came out to mixed reception audience reception, but that didn't stop the team from working on it and improving.

A few months after the official launch, Echoes of the End has updated to include a free Enhanced Edition update (changing the Steam name to boot), bringing in a slew of improvements based on the new expertise the developer has acquired and player feedback. To this end, the new edition is out now, fixing many of the critiques that the team had.

Here's a quick overview about some of the key changes were to Echoes of the End: Enhanced Edition!

• The protagonist, Ryn, has received reworked animations, with retimings or tweaks to make her feel more snappy.
• Boss animations, similarly, received an update, getting reworks to make the combat experience smoother.
• Combat has received a major overhaul, including massive changes to ranged enemies, better input buffering, stage hazards, automatic gap closing, and more.
• A brand-new equipment system to enhance customisation options: 13 new outfits and over 20 relics to shape your playstyle.
• Faster pacing for the overall experience, reducing the amount of menial puzzles, better unlocking cadence, more experience, and a tutorial redesign.
• A new difficulty level called Journey, sitting between the current Story and Adventure modes in terms of difficulty.
• A New Game+ functionality to continue the experience past the credits with more difficult and varied second playthrough, introducing eight new elite enemy types.

It's a pretty massive overhaul to launch just a few months after launch, but Myrkur Games somehow managed to get it all in working order.This sort of rehaul is what most companies have the tendency to reprice or even create "remakes" of their games, offered for free in an update launched on the 30th of October.
