Nintendo Announces New Smartphone Game

Nintendo, in partnership with Cygames (which Nintendo owns a small stake of), have announced Dragalia Lost this week, a new mobile fantasy RPG.

There isn't much information available, but this release marks the first time that Nintendo has debuted a new franchise outside of their own platforms. The trailer above is all in Japanese, so if you're fluent then you'll have a better time understanding what is going on than a certain someone writing this article.

We can see what appears to be action RPG battles, with a bit of world exploring, in a typical Japanese style.

Nintendo has another smartphone game coming later this year, in the form of Mario Kart Tour. That is slated for anytime before March 2019.

Dragalia Lost is scheduled to release sometime in the Northern Hemisphere's summer.
