Nintendo Developing Mario Kart TV App

One of the features of Mario Kart 8 will be the ability to record your races and upload them to the internet. Nintendo have apparently been working with YouTube to automatically content ID them so they get to block it in countries, remove them or even monetise them.

They have also been working on a web and smartphone app temporarily named Mario Kart TV which will allow players to upload and view videos, view rankings, see their friends videos and videos of tournaments. You won't need to be logged in to use the app, but if you want to see your own videos and follow your friends and tournaments, you will need to.

It will apparently be available by the time MArio Kart 8 comes out on Wii U, May 30th.
