No More No More Heroes

No More No More Heroes

The release of No More Heroes Ⅲ has been met with mostly positive reviews, giving players fun sword, erm, beam katana combat, fun boss battles and the usual quirkiness found in the series, although it is primarily based on the first No More Heroes released in late 2007. However, creative director Goichi Suda has stated that this could be the last we’ll see of the No More Heroes series.

No More Heroes Ⅲ has been released.” A tweet from Goichi Suda posted after the game’s release. “Thank you all so much for all your kind messages! I truly hope everyone enjoys Travis Touchdown’s final battle. Goodbye, Travis. Goodbye, No More Heroes. Goodbye, fleeting moments and days. Farewell, to all Travis Touchdowns everywhere!”

However, he has stated that we may be able to see Travis again in a decade. To quote: "The team and I feel that the dude’s tired, spending the past five years in two different games. Which is why we probably wouldn’t give him another game for at least 10 years, assuming Grasshopper would make it."

Starting on the Wii, the No More Heroes series has reached cult status for it’s bizarre and dark story, gratuitous amounts of blood and it’s simplistic yet satisfying combat, and became one of the bigger breaks into the western gaming industry next to killer7.

Hopefully we will be able to step back into the Garden of Madness, beam katanas at the ready. But I do agree with Suda. Travis Touchdown needs a little trip to paradise before the bloodbath begins once again.
