One Hundred Classic Atari Games Come to PS4 and Xbox One

They might not be the biggest name in the world of videogames these days, but there was a time when Atari were the key name in videogames. The veteran developer and publisher were responsible for some of the biggest names in the early days of videogaming such as Asteroids, Missile Command, and Breakout. Those games are now available in glorious remastered HD, along with 97 of their brethren, on the PS4 and Xbox One. The Atari Flashback Classics series consists of two 50-game volumes, featuring some of the best games of the Atari VCS (aka the Atari 2600).

“We are glad to bring these games to PS4 and Xbox One in Europe with our partners,” said Frédéric Chesnais, CEO of Atari. “These games have been released more than 45 years ago, but there is always something new and exciting about them, and I am sure all players will enjoy them.”
