Phasmophobia's 2026 Roadmap Has Been Revealed!
Kinetic Games, the developer and publisher for the hit co-op horror game,
revealed some information about 2026's roadmap for Phasmophobia, with more details to come in the future. So, let's get into it!
There are four major updates that players can expect throughout 2026 (that we know of):
- Player character overhaul.
- Unity 6 and network update.
- Nintendo Switch 2 release.
- 1.0 release (with horror rework and lore update).

The team isn't ready to reveal the minor details of these yet, but they will be unearthed as the updates' release date inches closer. In addition to that, the 6 Tanglewood Drive and 13 Willow Street maps will have a rework, and players can expect a whole new map to reveal throughout the year!
The first one will be the former, and each will receive an upgrade to visuals, gameplay, and layout to improve the experience. This includes new assets and interactions, among other unnamed additions! As for the new map, more information will be revealed later, but we know it will bring a new style of location to the game.
Lastly, Cursed Hollow, Crimson Eye, and Winter's Jest will all return throughout the year, offering players another chance to work together to earn rewards and upgrade their trophy. Another new limited-time event will be joining the list, though we will learn more about it as its release approaches.
Phasmophobia is available now on Early Access for Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, with Nintendo Switch 2's release coming this year.
