PlayTracker App Releases a New Application Via Overwolf

The website PlayTracker has released a brand-new application that is meant to include a slew of updates for the user and ensure a better experience overall. As we've previously covered it for its Quest feature, where you complete a slew of achievements over the course of a few months to get games, it has now gotten even bigger!

For those looking forward to trying out the official PlayTracker app, you'll want to download Overwolf and find it amongst its catalogue of apps to get. From there, you'll be able to find PlayTracker, download it, connect it to your account, and get a couple of new, improved features.

For starters, those who like using it to sync their data'll be happy to know that the app now uses more frequent syncs, updating your profile and information every 10 minutes you are within a game and even after you exit it. This is useful for those who want to be able to keep up-to-date with all of the newest achievements and games, and it's particularly useful for those who are trying to finish the quests of the season (of which it's currently called Season of Carnage, themed after the latest title given away to anyone who completed the quests — DOOM Eternal).

For those who have two monitors and achievement hunters, you'll also be able to use the new functionality to pin achievements and track them during gameplay. With a second monitor or a simple ALT+Tab to the right window, you'll be able to see any information, including whether you have an achievement in the quest for that particular game and any achievement you may have pinned for ease of access. Achievement hunters will likely appreciate this as a way to keep focused and remember their goals throughout the experience, giving them a more accessible way than having to use Steam's integrated overlay.

You'll also be able to add your own personal notes for any game that's currently running, which will give you the capability to write any useful and important information that you might need to remember or jot down in a jiff. Best of all, the PlayTracker app has been optimised to have minimal performance impact regardless of it running alongside your game, so anyone worried about their frames per second can breathe fresh air.

This desktop app came in collaboration with Overwolf, where both parties agreed and it was even funded entirely by the company. You can find PlayTracker in the Overwolf app, which supports the website and gives them a bit of a boost with their newly released application.
