Project Zomboid Gets Multiplayer Mode

Project Zomboid is an early alpha Zombie Survival RPG available on Steam. Developers Indie Stone had always planned to add multiplayer functionality to the title and today it was revealed that it is coming sooner than expected.

Players will be able to host their own dedicated multiplayer servers, complete with mods, likely supporting 10-12 players. Indie Stone also plan to add four-player split-screen support too. Multiplayer will have both co-op and PvP modes, but will default to co-op. Timescale wise we are looking at the next few weeks according to the latest update.

It all really depends on how well future tests go and what new issues crop up, but it’s certainly not months away – or ‘next year’ as per previous community estimates.
