PUBG Update 24.1 Trailer Introduces Gameplay Improvements
Here are the latest changes coming to the hit battle royale game PUBG: Battlegrounds on PC and console. With Update 24.1, Krafton has revealed an overhaul of the Tactical Gear system, a universal repair kit item, quality-of-life changes, and Season 23 Ranked rewards, as well as details about Season 24's launch.
The most significant improvement comes with Tactical Gear, as they are now essential items, renewing their importance beyond consumable options and allowing for a wider variety of gameplay. In its previous iteration, players had to sacrifice a primary weapon slot for Tactical Gear, but with Update 24.1, there is a dedicated slot reserved for Tactical Gear, and players will be equipped with a Tactical Gear Carrier in their inventory at the start of each match. Opening the Carrier will allow you to choose from available options, including EMT Gear, Tactical Pack, Spotter Scope, Drone, Blue Chip Detector, or the revamped Repair Kit. Once equipped, the gear you choose will be with you until the end of the match.
Players will also notice environmental changes to Vikendi, including new objects and ridgelines, offering more opportunities for cover. Vikendi will also be joining the Ranked map pool in Season 24!
