Reforest Mars in Blossom: The Seed Of Life with Official Launch

Reforest Mars in Blossom: The Seed Of Life with Official Launch

Indie solo developer Pebbledust Games and publisher Pretty Soon are proud to announce the official launch of Blossom: The Seed Of Life. This open-world survival crafting game has players taking on the role of the titular character as they try to terraform a dead planet and bring it back to life.

Taking control of Blossom, players will complete the quest that humans failed to, saving Mars from its barren state and bringing its wildlife back. With only a directive from human civilisation to fix the planet, stranded on the giant island, players will need to use their limited energy, remain online under any means necessary, and use the resources in the world to revive Mars.

With every resource available, players will need to terraform Mars by manipulating the atmosphere, creating water, and soon enough, turning it into a verdant paradise. Create vehicles, facilitate your mission by using machinery to your advantage, and reforest a once-dead wasteland.

Thorin, the solo developer in charge of Blossom: The Seed Of Life, had this to say about his experience:

When I started working on Blossom, I kept thinking about the kinds of games I grew up with — the ones that didn’t constantly hold your hand. You had to pay attention, experiment, and figure things out on your own. I wanted that same feeling of discovery, but without the pressure or punishment that often comes with survival games. I didn’t want it to be just a systems-driven game. I love stories like Wall-E or The Martian, where you root for a single character taking on the impossible. That’s where Blossom’s little robot comes from — a tiny hero trying to bring life back to a dead planet.

Terraform Mars and bring back flora and fauna to the world, one step at a time. Blossom: The Seed Of Life launched on the 9th of March 2026 on Steam, and players can pick it up for £14.29, though the Steam Introductory Offer brings the price down to £12.14 until the 23rd of March 2026.
