Retro Soulslike Mouseward Has a Demo & a New Trailer!

Developed and published by Fininte Reflection Studios, Mouseward is an upcoming retro-inspired soulslike with collect-a-thon in the mix! As a Royal Mouse Guard, players will need to embark on a mission to restore a once-great kingdom.

In this Nintendo 64–inspired title, the protagonist is reawakened by arcane power, moved by their unbroken oath. As they explore the kingdom, players will find various weapons, armour sets, and even arcane abilities; all of these will allow them to customise their combat style.

The team unveiled a new trailer to celebrate the release of the game's demo! For those who already gave it a go on itch.io, this one is bigger and more polished, so it's worth another try.

Here's what the demo offers:

• A base build with primary weapon choices: a sword, dagger, or a great hammer.
• Three enemies to fight in the introductory area.
• Fallen Star fragments to find (which work to max out skill trees).
• Various coins to collect and use at the Mysterious Merchant's shop.
• Side quests to complete, including new dialogue and secret items.
