Rewind Feature and Two New Games Coming to Switch Online

As per usual, the Nintendo Switch Online Service will be receiving some extra additional games this month, but more surprisingly a new rewind feature is being added to the service as well.

As the name implies, the rewind feature will allow players to rewind their progress by a few seconds by holding down the ZL and ZR buttons whenever playing one of the NES titles bundled with Nintendo Switch Online. This should help less experienced players get through some tougher older titles such as Ninja Gaiden without having to constantly reload save states.

The two new titles coming to the service this month are the 1983 arcade classic Donkey Kong 3, and 1985’s Wrecking Crew. Donkey Kong 3 is platformer-shooter hybrid where players have to attack the titular ape with bug spray, while Wrecking Crew has players controlling Mario or Luigi as they destroy objects with hammers.

Both the rewind feature and the two games will be available for the service 17th July.
