S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl Releases New Free Content Update Ahead of Cost of Hope DLC Announcement

GSC Game World recently announced the first major content update arriving to S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl, inviting players to experience an all-new narrative in The Zone. Bringing more gameplay, fan-favourite factions, and more, it's an anticipated expansion for players itching to explore more of The Zone.

The DLC was announced last month, as players got a quick look at the official announcement trailer for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Cost of Hope. While more information hasn't been shared aside from the summer 2026 release date and the trailer, GSC World's newest free content update is in celebration of the upcoming expansion.

Titles "Sealed Truth", this free new questline will have players embarking on a story, as they'll explore the places of horrific experiments. The quest begins upon talking to Diode, taking place in X-Lab as players embark on a high-risk, high-reward mission that'll affect the overall Zone.

The content update is complementary to the Cost of Hope DLC launch, allowing players to uncover some of the gameplay elements that await them. Likely introducing some small narrative elements that'll be present throughout the expansion, it's a great chance to get to know what awaits players, all the while getting to enjoy more content in The Zone.
