Set Sail In Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord's New Expansion, War Sails, On November 26th
TaleWorlds Entertainment have released a new gameplay video for the highly anticipated expansion to Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord, War Sails.
War Sails is a naval-centred update adding warships and continental trading as well as a new faction, launching on November 26th on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and GoG.
The gameplay video shows off the new mechanics and combat surrounding naval engagements located in rivers, starring the Nords, the northern faction separated from Calradia, and the Khuzaits.
Shown in the video, the weather and conditions of the seas and rivers will affect the battle, with ships catching fire from flaming arrows and other thrown ordinates which can burn sails and sink ships.

The ships displayed in the gameplay video are only a small fraction of the variety of war and merchant vessels you can sail whether you want to be a raider along the narrow rivers of inland settlements or a world-class broker, there’s an ocean of possibilities.
- Meet the Nords: Sail to the Northern Kingdom, home of the fearsome Nords whom you can trade with, recruit, or fight in a land of jagged peaks and icy fjords.
- Master Naval Warfare: Sail and battle in naval warfare inspired by medieval battles by capturing the wind with up-to-date water physics, ability to board or ram ships to cripple foes by shattering oars, sinking hulls, or tearing sails.
- Explore an Expanded Map: Calradia’s landscape has changed to accommodate the new expansion with a northern sea, islands, rivers, and open waters.
- Build Your Fleet: Choose from up to 20 ships, each with their own unique handling as well as upgrade your fleet with siege engines, sails, and rams, and take your foe’s vessels, ports, and win ship figureheads.
- Embark On A Naval Campaign: Keep your armies well supplied, sink foes, and blockade towns, but beware of storms and attrition.
- Expand Your Arsenal: Recruit new companions under the Nordic banners, pick new hairstyles and tattoos, and buy new armour and craft unique weapons, spears, swords, and axes.
- A Living, Evolving Calradia: Like in the base game, the world is bustling with trade, diplomacy and thievery, now with the inclusion of the Nords there will be more to do and fight.
- Custom Naval Battles: Create and command your own fleet battles in customised battles where you can select your favourite heroes, troops and ships on the several sea maps from the campaign.
Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord is the sequel to Mount & Blade: Warband, combining realistic medieval combat and life in the vast sandbox continent of Calradia.
