Shift At Midnight Reveals Release Date!

Bun Muen and Kwalee announced the official release date for their upcoming online co-op detective horror title, Shift At Midnight! Throughout randomly generated worlds, players will work together to investigate the customers in hopes of finding the one that isn't human. If they make a mistake, they'll need to board up, set traps, and hide from the monsters!

The team opened up the announcement by saying,

“Thanks for all of your patience with this, it’s been a journey to get here but now that we are launching in less than 2 weeks you can all get hyped without worry!”

They added that there will be a major content update a few weeks after release, which will add new customers, enemies, and weapons to Story Mode and Endless Mode.

Here's what Shift At Midnight offers:

• Play alone or with up to two others in online co-op.
• Character customisation.
• A story mode with 13 randomly generated shifts.
• Interrogate customers to find out if they're human.
• Gas Station management features.
• Proximity chat.
• Upcoming Endless Mode (planned for Q4 2026).
• Steam-only public server browsing (on launch or available shortly after).

There's a demo available if you'd like to try it! Shift At Midnight is set to release on the 22nd of July for Steam, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox Game Pass. Crossplay between Xbox and Steam will not be available.
