SMITE Coming to Steam

The president of Hi-Rez has tweeted a code giveaway for copies of SMITE on Steam, to test the system.

Of course, we can only guess what 'soon' means, as especially in the videogame world it could be upwards of six months.

But it's certainly an interesting move, as DOTA II is seen as a direct competitor to SMITE, and with Paladins coming soon it could be a case of keeping your enemies closer.

It will also allow players to gain Steam achievements and use their Steam wallet for purchases, so for those who don't like having separate installers and like keeping everything under the umbrella of Steam, it's great news.
