Sonic Rumble Addresses Player Concerns
Sonic Rumble is a new free-to-play game by SEGA that players can join via mobile and PC. The title released to Mixed on Steam, with many players commenting on the price of the skins and the possible pay-to-win mechanics.
On a recent Steam post, SEGA addressed the concerns and spoke about their future plans for the game, specifically tackling the feedback and clearing up misconceptions!
First, let's talk about the latter. Players have been concerned that purchasing characters or skins helps them win matches, and it seems like it might be a miscommunication. While Score Bonus and Subscriptions do increase the post-match rewards, they don't change the Rings collected throughout the run.
Another feature that may have been unclear is how to earn Red Star Rings. This can be done through Stage Challenges, Rumble Rankings, Emblem Ranks, and Achievements. SEGA acknowledges that they need to be clearer about information and promised to work on their communication moving forward.

As for the rest of the feedback, such as the pricing of skins, they have a few plans to improve the player experience:
- Skins and Red Star Rings will be easier to obtain by just playing.
- Shop items will be more achievable.
- Interface and tutorials will be revised to better convey information.
Making Shop items more achievable possibly means that prices will be reduced, but we will have to wait and see what they have in mind. SEGA mentions that the changes will be implemented through future updates.
Sonic Rumble is available on Steam and Android.
