Stealth Inc. 2 Announced as Wii U Exclusive

Stealth Inc. 2 Curve Studio's sequel to popular indy title; Stealth Inc: A Clone in the Dark is under development for the WiiU and is going to be an exclusive for the Nintendo console, it was announced earlier.

Speaking about the development of the game, Curve CEO Jason Perskins spoke about the positive environment in Nintendo's eShop.

"There isn't much competition on Nintendo's store, so we thought that commercially it's a really good opportunity for us, Nintendo has sold a few million Wii Us too, so the audience is there. We want to see what the market is like. We want to test it."

This isn't the first time the studio has worked with Nintendo, despite the first Stealth Inc not appearing on a Nintendo platform, the developers produced WiiWare title Fluidity and its 3DS sequel Fluidity: Spin Cycle. It was partially because of this good relationship that Stealth Inc. 2 is a Wii U exclusive.

We've got a good relationship with Nintendo. Really enjoyed working with them. They originally got in contact when we were just on the verge of launching the first one. We were too far along the line with Sony, but got back to them and said, 'Look, here's an opportunity, how about that?' Then in terms of the hardware and the opportunities with something like the GamePad as well, it was really quite exciting.

Stealth Inc. 2 sees a combination of stealth and platform gameplay has players have to escape facilities by evading various traps, pitfalls, hazards and sensors whilst engaging in platforming similar to Super Meat Boy. Whilst concept art has been shown, Curve have not yet given a release date.
