Story-Rich Showcase 2026: Desktop Explorer

Developed by Recurring Dream and published by Recurring Dream and Outersloth, Desktop Explorer is an upcoming point-and-click psychological horror where players will rummage through an old PC. The machine was handed down by the protagonist's uncle, and upon booting it, there's a note instigating the investigation of a missing person.

The team shared new gameplay footage and information about the narrative during the Story-Rich Showcase 2026. Alongside that, the release date was also revealed!

Desktop Explorer is set to launch on the 17th of July 2026 on Steam; at the time of writing, there's a demo available if you'd like to check it out!
